God's Desire For Us

God's desire is that we experience the fullness of life.

Jesus came to bring us life to the fullest.

John 10:10

What is God asking me to do?

When trying to make any decision there are some basic steps that are taken:

1- Clarify the question.

2- Gather Data

3- Consider the alternatives

4- Make a tentative choice out of the possible options,

if there is no peace try the other choice.

5- If all else fails flip a coin and trust in God.

When it comes to trying to decide what God is calling you to do the steps are almost identical:

Steps for Personal Discernment

1- Prayer/Seek Spiritual Direction

2- Gather Data/Pray

3- Pray, Seek spiritual direction, look at all sides, choose the "more"

4- Make a decision/Pray

5- Seek Confirmation/Pray

What Choice Do I Make?

You need to keep the DMA principle in mind when you are choosing which path in life to follow.

D - desire, Do I have a desire to make this choice?

M - motivation, Am I motivated to make this choice?

A - Ability, Do I have the ability to carry out this choice? Ability not

only includes your physical ability to do something but your

motional as well. Are you truly free to carry out this choice?

If the answer to any of these questions is no then you need to reevaluate your choice.
