SERVICES
Parish Consultation
The Office of Youth Ministry primarily provides direct support and resources
to those involved in youth ministry as they assist in the total personal and
spiritual growth of the young people in the Archdiocese.
Youth Ministry Certification
The Center for Ministry Development offers a two-year (eight-weekend) course
that leads to national certification in youth ministry upon successful completion
of all weekend courses and subsequent assignments.

Resources
Books, magazines, and other resources are available at the Youth Ministry
Office (to be used there), in order to assist the youth ministers in planning
creative and dynamic programs for their parish ministry.
Workshops
At the request of the parishes, the Office provides a variety of workshops
to train youth and adults in the dynamics of youth ministry.

RETREATS
Kerygma
(grades 7th-8th)
A Junior High retreat program based on
Scripture that focuses on healing, personal call, and morality
(Sat.-Sun.).
Encuentros Juveniles
(Youth Encounters)
A conversion retreat in Spanish for young
people between the ages of 16-23, that offers an introduction to the basics
of the Catholic Faith and a personal encounter with Jesus Christ Encuentros Juveniles
(Fri.-Sun.).
Amor en el Principio
A retreat in Spanish for couples that
fosters growth in their relationship and develops true friendship
(Sat. & Sun.).

LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Youth Council
(all teens)
This group is composed of teen representatives from all parishes in the
Archdiocese of Miami, divided by geography into Broward and Miami-Dade/Monroe.
Council members agree to attend three meetings a year and help plan and promote
special archdiocesan events. Members also report back to their individual
parishes on events from other churches as well as the archdiocese.
Peer Ministry
(ages 15 & up)
Peer ministry training program that enables young people to have a basic
knowledge and skill to lead youth groups. The areas include: Christian Leadership,
Morality, Personality, and Group Dynamics. This training program can range
from one day to a weekend long.
Y.E.S!
(ages 15-18)
(Youth Enjoying Service)
A week long service experience based on Scripture and the Social teachings
of the Church. This program combines action, prayer, and discussions of
social issues as young people serve the needy of our community
(Mon.-Sun.).
